You are invited to join our classes, brought to you by Buddhist monk Bhante Chandrawansa. Embrace the harmony of spirituality shared by all faiths and walks of life! Classes take place in Bedford Church of the Brethren’s handicap-accessible fellowship hall as Bhante guides us through the timeless teachings of meditation and mindfulness with application to modern life.

Classes include guided meditations, teachings, and practical tools to live a more happy and meaningful life. Learn practical ways to feel empowered to change yourself and change the world. These classes include inner tools to apply to your daily life with a focus on solutions to problems, authentic optimism, and the development of altruistic love and compassion.

*Please bring a pillow, blanket or towel to class to sit on. Stay hydrated and bring a bottle of water. Chairs will be provided for those unable to sit on the floor. Class ends with discussion, so bring your questions about meditation, spirituality, and life.

Thursday Evening Vipassana Meditation Class & Dhamma Talk

The PA Meditation Center offers a Vipassana meditation class each Thursday evening from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. EST followed by an hour-long Dhamma talk and discussion. The session begins with metta chanting to develop lovingkindness, compassion, altruistic joy, and equanimity. This is followed by insight meditation, which helps us to recognize and to be aware of our true nature.

The yearly teaching cycle begins with the Four Dwellings, which are lovingkindness, compassion, altruistic joy, and equanimity. Meditators can enjoy learning as they progress to profound teachings such as Dependent Origination, the Five Aggregates, Six Faculties, etc.

These classes are offered in person and via zoom sessions. These classes are offered free of charge. To join via zoom, please email phall621@gmail.com for information.

We warmly invite your child or young ones to join our free Dharma classes for kids on Zoom with Jataka Tales, stories from life of the Buddha, and Dharma discussions. Dharma school is held on the first and third Sunday of each month, beginning at 10 a.m. EST. The Dharma teacher for these classes is Lisa
Buschmann.
